Sostento’s Crypto Community Fund for Healthcare Access launches with a clear conviction: preventable sickness and treatable suffering among the uninsured in America is not inevitable. It is the result of longstanding centralized institutions that have too often failed to reach everyone with the care they need.
Since its founding in 2019 Sostento has helped hundreds of thousands of uninsured Americans remove barriers to care. We’ve distributed over $4 million in safety net healthcare workforce funding, delivered over 50,000 free patient health access rides to care, and delivered impact in over 100 locations nationwide.
The fund will become a philanthropic resource that fuels Sostento’s response to the rising number of uninsured in America. According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) 3.4 million people will lose health insurance in 2026 and 7.5 million more will lose insurance in 2027. If we don’t act, we’ll all pay the price as ER rooms get clogged, essential workers fall ill and public health deteriorates.
FOUNDER INSTRUCTIONS:
Use the donation widget above to make a charitable contribution to Sostento by crypto, stock, credit card, or donor advised fund. Founder status is secured with a contribution equivalent to $1,000 USD for an individual founder or $2,000 USD for a two-person duo founder status. After completing your donation, you will receive an email confirmation from The Giving Block and the Sostento team will follow up with founding member information.

Becoming a founder will offer special opportunities to help shape the future of the fund and engage with other founders. Founders who file their taxes with the IRS using the standard deduction may also be eligible for a new charitable tax savings in 2026. By the end of the year, our objective is to establish the fund with 250 founding members and $375,000 in funding. These resources will support efforts to increase healthcare access for the uninsured while helping Sostento evolve the fund into a pioneering crypto-centric philanthropic resource.
